Debuting around 2003 in California, the Blue Dream strain has quickly become America’s number one cannabis variety. It is a hybrid with 60% Sativa and 40% Indica, but still keeps up a good balance and yields both euphoria and full body relaxation.
Its power to stimulate your whole brain without being too overpowering is exactly what made Blue Dream so popular. In fact, it was the best selling strain in Washington and Colorado in 2015, and rightly so. Both of its parents, Blueberry and Haze, have won multiple awards and are highly rated in the marijuana community.
Production
Growing Blue Dream requires a medium level of skill, and it’s best to do it in a regulated Mediterranean climate, as this strain is very vulnerable to temperature swings. Besides, due to its sweet smell, they attract a lot of pests.
So, if you want to avoid any unexpected problems, you should grow Blue Dream seeds indoors. The hydroponics method will produce optimal results, but to get those feminized really high-quality nuggets, you also need to prune the plant regularly.
Even though these are feminized seeds, they take slightly longer to flower, somewhere around 8 to 10 weeks. Still, the result will be well worth the wait as the yield is particularly large and the buds contain a high THC level.
Character & Flavor
The best part of the Blue Dream cannabis is the overwhelmingly strong and delicious aroma that will take you on a stroll through a fragrant berry farm. Still, when you take a look at the flowers, there’s no hint of blue anywhere. The buds are very thick and completely green with orange pistils and a lot of trichomes.
Flavor-wise, in addition to the sweet and blueberry taste, you can also expect hints of vanilla and pine, contributing to the overall excellent flavor of Blue Dream nugs.
Medicinal Application
The Blue Dream cannabis seeds are often used for alleviating symptoms of insomnia, pain, and stress. The balanced effect of energy and relaxation is what makes this one of the best medical cannabis out there.
With CBD levels of around 2%, it can relieve musculoskeletal pain, headaches, arthritis symptoms, and even menstrual cramps in women. Patients seem to love how it helps them with their conditions without making them weary and stuck to the couch.
Negatives
If you are looking to buy Blue Dream seeds, but are wary about the side effects, we are here to ease your mind.
Though this cannabis has a highly balanced nature, keeping side effects at a minimum, the negative you may expect is anxiety, if you are prone to it or if you are an inexperienced marijuana user. Mostly the side effects are a dry mouth and possibly dry eyes, both of which can be easily managed.

Blue Dream has a nice blueberry kind of smell to it. The stocks are nice and thick. Trichomes are everywhere. Blue dreams plants are the largest out of my group. It is a strain I keep around.
