Royal Dwarf is a Skunk variety strain first developed in Amsterdam’s local shop. It’s believed Dutch breeders created this incredibly small and easy to grow strain by combining Skunk female genetics with ruderalis plants. The ruderalis genetics background largely accounts for Royal Dwarf’s famed compact structure and fast growth rate. But don’t let this plant’s small size fool you. With a THC content of around 15 percent, a few hits of Royal Dwarf will certainly dwarf you into a full-on couchlock mode. Royal Dwarf seeds are perfect for novice indoor growers who are interested in a strong, sedating, and secretive strain.
When purchasing an autoflowering and feminized variety of Royal Dwarf seeds, please keep in mind this strain was developed for indoor growth. While this doesn’t mean you can’t grow this strain outdoors, most home growers claim Royal Dwarf grows best in a warm indoor setting.
Like equally famous Easy Bud, Royal Dwarf seeds are ridiculously easy to grow even for beginners. The strain’s short stature, quick grow time, and resistance to mold make growing these weed seeds a breeze. Under the right conditions, expect Royal Dwarf cannabis seeds to reach full maturity within just 7 – 8 weeks.
For even faster results, you might consider growing Royal Dwarf in a hydroponic system. It’s not unheard-of for this marijuana strain to mature within six weeks when grown in hydroponics.
As for yields, Royal Dwarf usually hover around 0.5 ounces per square foot for indoor growers. Although outdoor growers could have varying yields, typically, they aren’t above 0.3 ounces per square foot.
Character & Flavor
Due to its compact size, it’s easy for those not “in the know” to mistake Royal Dwarf for a nondescript shrub. However, when you take a closer look at this plant’s buds, you’ll soon discover hard layers of white trichomes all over its buds. In keeping with its regal status, you might also spy a few purple hairs protruding on mature Royal Dwarf buds.
As you’d expect from a Skunk-heavy hybrid, Royal Dwarf’s prominent flavor is, well, skunk! Beyond the bold pungent flavors, however, users sometimes detect hints of sour diesel and even a touch of honey-like sweetness.
Despite Royal Dwarf’s strong sativa heritage, users describe the strain’s effects as mostly sedating. While you might get a slight social high after your first hit, you’ll most likely feel a relaxing body stone overwhelm you soon afterward. This makes Royal Dwarf a good choice for those suffering from racing thoughts, insomnia, or anxiety-related conditions.
Although Royal Dwarf is a compact plant, remember this strain has a rather strong aroma. Ensure your indoor ventilation system is in working order if you place a high priority on secrecy.
